Frost on the Pumpkin

Posted by Sue on September 20, 2006 in Uncategorized |

Yup. You heard me. We got frost last night. That, along with the combine going into the field yesterday means fall has “officially” begun.

There is an 80% chance of 2″ rain coming in tonight and tomorrow along with high winds. Please keep your fingers crossed this doesn’t happen. Corn blown down to the ground is very hard to combine. Plus, it makes for a very grumpy husband.

I’m tired. How about you?

  • Sally says:

Hey, we haven’t gotten frost and we’re further north than you. Hmm.

  • Michael says:

    No frost but yep, tired.
    Take Care

  • joe tornatore says:

what does two inches of rain coming look like? lol

  • Lisa says:

I’m tired also. We are having a “cold” front here also. I don’t know how the meteorologists manage to say it with a straight face. It is supposed to be a low in the upper 60’s tonight. The first time since May we’ve seen the thermometer below 70. Highs in the 80’s tomorrow. As opposed to 90’s. FL definition of “cold”. I’d love some frost about now!

  • michaelpipes says:

yep, I’m tired too (insert ‘I told you so here’) havent even had the energy to read my email yet…crossing fingers for grumpless hubs…

  • Becky says:

Yes, me tired but it seems pretty minor compared to what you guys are going through. I’m going to hit the sack soon, after I make more headway into Anna Karenina (my latest book challenge).

  • Patsy says:
