Sharing the Holiday

Nothing says “I’m thankful” like gathering several of your best pals in the backyard and blowing a couple hundred dollars worth of bullets shooting at small clay discs.

  1. Hmmm… we just sat around the dinner table shoveling pounds of turkey and trimmings into our faces, swapping stories then retired to the front room and the football game on TV for a nap… I am still suffering from a tryptofan hangover, or maybe it’s just withdrawals…no left overs at my house 🙁

  2. Yeah, that’s a new one for me. Thursday went fine, but it was a little more low-key than I expected. The rest of the weekend is a different story…

  3. But I thought you guys lived in Iowa… not just around the corner.
Seems to be popular past time around here. Wouldn’t mind except that their house borders the running trail. Scares the crap out of me sometimes.
Turkey Days 1 and 2 (divorced in-laws) were fabulous. Tasty food and kooky family members who are not related to me by blood. What more could I ask?

  4. Oh man my husband SO wants me to go do that with him. Which I’ve said I would, but the bottom line is here in So Cal you have to go to a place specifically designed for doing that and pay money. Which is also OK…just haven’t done it yet. I also don’t really like guns so much…ok, not at all. But when you live in L.A. you develop a different relationship with guns than people who live in rural areas do. I’ll let you know if it ever happens.
