Be Careful What You Wish For

Y’know how I was wanting it to snow? Yeah. Well… it came, although not as much as I’d hoped for. We only ended up with about 4 inches. But it blew. And it iced up. And my internet satellite is frozen in a cocoon of something-or-other that keeps it from working. Damnit. So… that’s why so quiet the past few days. I stayed home. I read. I slept. We finally had our meeting with the banker (and get to farm another year – yippee!). I even ordered a new computer for home (over the telephone).

I’ve missed the “outside” world of the internet more than I thought I would.

Of course, I came back to work to a pile of stuff a foot high and a list of calls to return a mile long. This is supposed to be the sloooow time. The time I can be gone and no one misses me! Guess I’ll have to hold out for February.

  1. We have rain today here in LA…pretty exciting for us. It’s been unusually cold here this last week…been playing hell on the citrus growers. It’s been a long time since we heard about the citrus crop having trouble with sub-freezing weather here in So Cal. The rain should actually bring the temps up a bit…we’ll see I guess.

  2. yes, I can relate. No snow here nor any wish for it, but TBC is out and I have been wishing for that day to arrive for some time. Unfortunately as it came and passed, my puter took ill and I missed the big online event.
I went to extreme measures to insure I had a copy of the new online game upgrade and then found myself unable to implement it. But on the good side of life, Harry Dresden premiers tonight! Don’t forget to tune in.

  3. I like the coziness of ‘snow days’ but I have to say, I am not missing snow. I live in Boston and we haven’t had any measureable snow this winter.
